Danger Averted As Overland Airways Aircraft Catches Fire During Landing At Lagos Airport

A major air disaster was averted on Wednesday night when an Overland Airways aircraft carrying 33 passengers made an emergency landing at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos, from Ilorin International Airport in Kwara state.
According to eye witness report made available to kadecommunicationng, “The incident happened on Wednesday night, June 15, when one of the engines caught fire mid-air as the plane was approaching the airport runway.
“33 passengers onboard the flight were safely disembarked at the international Wing after the plane successfully made an emergency landing,” the eyewitness who wouldn’t want his name in print told kadecommunicationng.
