While the nearest challenger and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has already congratulated the winner of the APC Presidential Primaries, Professor Yemi oSinbajo is yet to congratulate or issue any statement felicitating with the former Lagos State Governor.
Recall that Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu had floored presidential aspirant’s like Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Rotimi Amaechi, who were front runners ahead of the polls.
The former Lagos State Governor garnered 1,271 to defeat his closest rival, Amaechi, who polled 316. Professor Yemi Osinbajo came third with 235 votes.
Prior to the APC Convention, Osinbajo was accused of betrayal by opting to contest for the Presidency against his former boss, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Vice President was Tinubu’s Attorney General while he was Governor of Lagos State.
Amid controversial stories, supporters of Bola Ahmed Tinubu had claimed the former Lagos Governor suggested Osinbajo’s name to President Muhammadu Buhari as his deputy in 2015. A claim supporters of the Vice President denounced and repudiated.
