Why 80% Of Ibeju-Lekki, Epe Structures Don’t Have Approvals-LASG

The Lagos State Commissioner of Physical Planning, Dr. Oluyinka Abiodun Olumide has said that 80 percent of the buildings on the Ibeju-Lekki and Epe axis do not have building approvals because a huge part of the area is still designated as “Agricultural area” by the State government.
Speaking on Wednesday at his Ministry’s One year in office account to the Press and the public, held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Center, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, Dr. Oluyinka Abiodun Olumide said the rapid development coming towards the Ibeju Lekki axis like the Lekki Deep Sea Port, Dangote Refinery, Lekki Free Trade Zone, future Airport and others has made a lot of developers run there to start erecting structures.
The Commissioner explained that 80 percent of the buildings in the Ibeju-Lekki, Epe axis does not have approvals because a huge part of the area is still designated as “Agricultural area”.
