When kadecommunicationng passed through the area, men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) were still searching for the driver before making effort to tow the truck away.
As of the time of filling in this report, the container laden truck which wasn’t impeding traffic, was still on the highway at Ahammadiya bus stop with it’s occupants nowhere in sight.
Speaking to kadecommunicationng, a LASTMA official who wouldn’t want his name in print explained that the driver ran away after sighting traffic enforcement officers moving towards him.
“The driver has bolted after sighting us moving towards him. He was driving one-way and knew the consequences of his actions. To avoid arrest, he ran into one of the adjoining streets linking the expressway, leaving the truck and container on the road.
“If efforts to get him fail, we might have to tow the truck to our base for further action,” the LASTMA official told kadecommunicationng exclusively
