System Glitch Behind Debt Cancellation, MTN Tells Subscribers

MTN Nigeria has denied cancelling debts of subscribers who had borrowed from the network, stating that all balances will reflect accurate figures once the problem is resolved.
Recall that many MTN subscribers took to social media to thank the network provider for cancelling their debts in the early hours of Saturday.
However, responding via a statement sent to kadecommunicationng on Saturday, MTN Nigeria said that the company engineers are currently working to resolve the issue.
“MTN Nigeria Communications Plc can confirm a system glitch impacting balance enquiries.
“As a result, some customers may receive error messages showing that their balances have been cleared.
“This is not the case and all balances will reflect accurate figures once the problem is resolved.
“Our engineers are currently working to ensure this. Please accept our apologies. We regret the inconvenience,” the MTN Nigeria statement read
