Singer Slams APC Over Use Of Song Without Permission
Fred Omotara, Lagoa
A Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, on Tuesday night reacted to the organizers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for using one of his songs without his permission at the ongoing primaries election taking place in Abuja.
Taking to Twitter, Dakolo questioned the right of the organisers of the event over the use of an artist song without any permission from the owner of the song.
Reacting, the singer on his Twitter page wrote, “Why use an Artist Song without their permission in a rally or campaign. The things people get away with in this country called Nigeria. Actually, this is the second time.”
Recall that one of Dakolo’s hit song, Great Nation, was played at the APC Convention on Tuesday night as delegates gathered to elect the candidate that will fly the party’s ticket at next year’s Presidential election
