Senator Odebiyi Expresses Hope Over Reclaiming Of Senatorial Ticket From Yayi
Fred Omotara, Lagos
The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi on Wednesday called on the good people of Ogun West Senatorial District and his ardent supporters to remain calm, following the listing of the Lagos West Senator as the Senatorial candidate of Ogun West Senatorial District in Tuesdays Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lists for the 2023 National Assembly elections.
Recall that an appeal to void and nullify the participation of Sen. Solomon Adeola Olamilekan (Yayi) (whose name appeared on the INEC list) in the primary election of the APC for Ogun West Senatorial District held on 28th May, 2022, while still serving as Senator representing Lagos West at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is currently in court which is the final arbiter in this matter.
While allaying the fears of his people in Ogun State in a statement issued on Wednesday, Senator Odebiyi urged the people to keep faith and continue to pray for a good outcome in the court of law.
The Ogun West Senator who is determined in his quest to continue to bring hope and direction to governance with uncompromising zeal, also assures the people that he would ensure that the labours of past leaders of Ogun West shall never be in vain.
He hopes that justice, fairness and sanity ultimately prevail in order to further strengthen the resolve of every patriotic leader in the country to fight for the future of the downtrodden not only in Ogun West but also Nigeria at large.
