Probe Payment Of $496m To Indian Firm Over Ajaokuta Steel, Ex-Lawmaker Laments

A former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Shehu Sanni has asked that Nigeria’s payment of $496m to an Indian Firm over the moribund Ajaokuta Steel company should be probes.
In a post on social media on Thursday, Senator Shehu Sanni wondered how Nigeria signed such agreement giving the moribund state of Ajaokuta Steel company.
According to Senator Shehu Sanni, “Nigeria paid $496 million as fine to an Indian Firm on the Moribund Ajaokuta steel.
“Who are those that drafted and signed this kind of agreements?”
