Oil Theft: NIMASA Seeks Intelligence Sharing With Oil Producers

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has held talks with Oil Producers Trade Section of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) over intelligence sharing aimed at curbing the menace of oil Theft.
In a post on Friday, the Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Jamoh explained that the meeting focused on Onshore Safety/Security capabilities and intelligence response capability of NIMASA in the area of intervention to curb oil Theft.
According to Dr. Jamoh, “Meeting with members of the Oil Producers Trade Section of the LCCI to further cooperation around Onshore Safety/Security capability and opportunities between NIMASA and the Industry.
“We also discussed intelligence sharing response capability of NIMASA, particularly in areas of intervention to curb oil Theft activities.”
