NIMASA, US Embassy Discuss Maritime Security Gains

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the United States Mission in Nigeria have held talks on Tuesday over gains and progress made so far in terms of tackling maritime crime in the Gulf of Guinea (GoG).
In a statement released on Wednesday by the Director General of NIMASA, Dr Bashir Jamoh, the NIMASA DG stated that, “At a reception with Mr Will Stevens, the new Consul General for the United States Mission in Lagos, we discussed the remarkable progress that Nigeria has made in the area of maritime security and plans to sustain the ongoing partnerships between NIMASA and the American Embassy.”
