Lagos Residents Lament Over Abandoned Road, Drainage Construction In Ketu

Some residents of Demurin road in Ketu area of Lagos State have lamented over the state of the road and drainage system, stating that whenever it rains, the entire road becomes impassable.
Speaking to kadecommunicationng on Wednesday, the residents who explained that the road and drainage construction started in 2020, but has since being abandoned by the contractor over claims of non payment.
According to Alhaji Taiwo Animashaun who spoke on behalf of residents, “This road and drainage construction started in 2020, but as we speak, it has been abandoned.
“Nothing is happening here. The contractor is not even on site. For residents and motorists plying this route, it is always a gory sight to behold whenever it rains.
“The whole drainage becomes flooded And spills into the road, causing many unsuspecting road users to fall inside the drainage.
“We will appreciate if Mr. Governor can help reach out to the contractor to complete the abandoned road and drainage project.”
