Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins as Commissioner, another building has again collapsed in Lagos on Friday.
According to details released by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Friday, the latest building collapse occured at 2/4, Oye Sonuga Street, Palmgrove area of Mushin.
The agency also revealed that the Lagos State Government is investigating the partial collapse of of the building.
The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Engr. Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins, while on a visit of the site of the four-floor building, directed that the adjoining building be pulled down immediately to forestall further collapse and for safety reasons.
Efforts are currently ongoing to rescue those who might have been trapped in the rubble.
The Lagos State Building Control Agency( LASBCA) and the Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory were also directed to unravel the cause of the collapse.
Recall that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the appointment of Engr.
