Oyetola To Work With Gunter Pauli On Blue Economy Policies

The Minister of Marine & Blue Economy, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has expressed willingness to partner with renowned entrepreneur & sustainability expert, Prof. Gunter Pauli to draw policies for Nigeria’s blue economy development.
Disclosing this in a post on his X handle (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, the former Osun State Governor said that discussions with Prof. Gunter Pauli centred on the potential of Nigeria’s Blue Economy & how it can be harnessed.
“Today, I met with a renowned entrepreneur & sustainability expert, Prof. Gunter Pauli, who’s on a 3-day visit to Nigeria. He’s known for his works on Blue Economy & Advocacy for Sustainable Devt.
“During the meeting, we had discussions on the potential of Nigeria’s Blue Economy & how we can harness the vast opportunities in the sector.
“I shared with him our plans to modernise & decongest our ports by making them more effective & efficient. I equally expressed the readiness of our Ministry to work with private investors to bring back our shipping line & harness other key business opportunities that can create jobs for our people, reduce poverty & increase Nigeria’s foreign earnings.
“Prof. Pauli, who’s worked with different countries to draw policies for their blue economies, expressed his willingness to work with our Ministry.”
