Nigeria’s Financial System Under Emefiele Rotten-Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has broken his silence on the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, stating that the nation’s financial system under the suspended CBN Governor was rotten.
Disclosing this on the sideline of the Global Summit in Paris, France during his Diaspora Engagement with Nigerian residents in France and neighbouring European countries, President Tinubu said many Nigerians abroad were unable to send money to their relatives because of the multiple exchange rates, saying all that have become a thing of the past.
“Our financial system was rotten back then. Few people making bags of our money and then you yourself, you stopped sending money home to our poor parents. But that is gone now, is gone.
“The man is in the hands of authorities, something is being done about that, they will sort themselves out.”
