The Managing Director/CEO, Starzs Investments Company Limited, Iroghama Ogheifun has said that the presence of the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Mr. Kitack Lim at this year’s Nigerian International Maritime Summit (NIMS) reflects the support and confidence he has in the leadership of Nigeria’s Designated Authority (DA), NIMASA under Dr. Bashir Jamoh.

In a post on social media on Friday, the Starzs Chief Executive Officer also said she had a proud daughter moment watching her father alongside other panelists discuss Financing Maritime Assets-Ports and Shipyards at the just concluded 2022 NIMS.
According to Iroghama Ogheifun, “Earlier this week, I attended the Nigeria International Maritime Summit. A significant highlight of the event was the presence of the Secretary General of the IMO, Mr Kitack Lim who gave the keynote address and recommended that the spotlight should be on the blue economy.

“His participation at this event was significant because it reflected his support and confidence in the activities of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) under Dr. Bashir Jamoh.
“Spending 2 days listening to various positions on how we ignite the Blue Economy in Nigeria made me realize that we have a lot of work to do in terms of policy formulation that favours growth.
