
Heavy Rainfall, Thunderstorm Disrupts Flight Operations At Lagos Airport

The early morning heavy rainfall and thunderstorms that rocked the city of Lagos on Monday morning has led to flight disruptions for many airlines, kadecommunicationng can reliably confirm.
Checks by kadecommunicationng revealed that while some airlines delayed their flights as a result of the unfavorable weather condition, some flights were diverted to nearby countries over safety reasons.
Speaking with Kadecommunicationng, an airport official who wouldn’t want her name in print as she is not authorized to speak explained that Nigeria’s biggest carrier, Air Peace had to divert it’s early morning Freetown to Lagos flight to Ghana due to very bad weather in Lagos.
“Many flights have been delayed due to bad weather condition. The heavy rainfall this morning affected flight operations out of the airport.
“The Air Peace Freetown to Lagos early morning flight was diverted to Accra, Ghana due to very poor weather conditions.
“The thunderstorms was deafening and flights in and out of Lagos was a risk in tbe morning of Monday,” the airport official told kadecommunicationng exclusively.
