Findings have revealed that over 10 Dangote Trucks are currently languishing and rotting away in detention at the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) warehouse in Ikeja, Lagos, kadecommunicationng can exclusively report.
When Kadecommunicationng Reporter visited the Customs warehouse located in Ikeja on Monday, it was observed that most of the trucks were arrested for conveying contraband goods like bags of imported rice concealed under bags of cement amongst others through different borders in Ogun State.
When asked if the owners of the trucks have come to claim them, the acting Customs Area Controller of Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, Hussein Ejibunu explained that most of the trucks are under different franchise agreement and have been carefully stacked in the warehouse inorder to create more space for other seizures.
“We have moved all the trucks with Dangote Truck name to the back of the warehouse because we have issues with space. We needed to create more space for other seizures, so they have been moved to the back of the warehouse.
“We have not seen the owners, neither has anybody come to lay claim to them. Over time, they will be auctioned,” acting Controller Hussein Ejibunu told kadecommunicationng exclusively.
