Cargo Examination: APM Terminals, Apapa Begins Use Of Mobile Scanners

Nigeria’s largest container terminal, APM Terminals, Apapa has announced the commencement of the use of Mobile Scanners belonging to the Nigeria Customs Service at Apapa port in Lagos.

Announcing this on social media on Wednesday, APM Terminals explained that the use of the Mobile Scanners will go hand-in-hand with physical examination of cargoes at the ports.

According to APM Terminals, Apapa, “We have begun the use of a Mobile Scanner for Customs inspections.

“Owned by the Nigeria Customs Service, the Mobile scanners will run in parallel with physical examination.

“This is expected to improve efficiency of inspections and facilitate cargo clearance.”
