Tagged the Akwa Ibom III Refinery, the BUA project is coming on the heels of the newly inaugurated 650,000bpd Dangote Petrochemicals Refinery located in Ibeju-Lekki, in Lagos State.
“If BUA Completes the construction of its refinery before 2025, it will be seen as the continuation of another business rivalry, although healthy, between the Chairman of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu and the Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote.

“It is a business rivalry that has seen both men delve into similar production lines like the manufacturing of Cements, Sugar and the recent face-off over some mining sites in some parts of the country.
“With the media hype gathering momentum over the ongoing construction of the 200,000bpd Akwa Ibom Refinery by BUA Group, just some days after the inauguration of the 650,000bpd Dangote Petrochemicals Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, it is obvious that both men are still keen on outwitting each-other in their respective business areas,” Dr. Vincent Nwaneri, a business consultant told kadecommunicationng exclusively
