The intoxicating ingredient in alcoholic drinks know as Ethyl alcohol is fundamentally the same in all types of alcoholic beverages, and when you drink in moderation, your liver can comfortably metabolize alcohol from any of these beverages.
But heavy drinking overwhelms your liver and excess alcohol circulate through every organ in your body, including your brain. This is what makes you drunk.
Excessive intake can lead to the development of chronic diseases and other serious problems including: High blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, and digestive problems. Cancer of the breast, mouth, throat, esophagus, voice box, liver, colon, and rectum.
So, the next time you choose to have an alcoholic drink consider its numerous effects and drink responsibly.
